Amazon is throwing a big sale on a handful of unlocked Android phones

Amazon is no stranger to limited time promotions and their latest is quite the doozy. Well, if random, slightly obscure smartphones are your thing. They are? Well, shoot. Read on, fam… Amazon is calling their new event "Unlocked Days" and it offers some pretty nice discounts on a handful of already affordable Android smartphones. There's a good list of devices here, so buckle up.
    Sony Xperia XA – $180 (regularly $250)
Sony Xperia XA Ultra – $270 (regularly $330)
    ASUS Zenfone Zoom – $170 (regularly $230)
    Coolpad Conjr – $143 (regularly $180)
    LeEco Le Pro3 – $280 (regularly $350)
    LeEco Le S3 – $160 (regularly $200)
    Lenovo Phab 2 Smartphone – $150 (regularly $200)
    Lenovo Phab 2 Pro – $400 (regularly $500)

Because these are unlocked devices, you can expect them to play well with GSM networks here in the US (like AT&T and T-Mobile), but more than likely CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint are not compatible. If you hate spending a ton of money on new smartphones, this hodgepodge of unlocked Android devices could fit the bill, just don't forget about devices like the ZTE Blade V8 Pro, Honor 6X, or Moto G5 Plus — 3 devices that get our seal of approval. Amazon

Why would you want to build your own VR backpack? To save money and move freely!

One of the first issues we came across with the  HTC Vive  was the cable that follows you around the room, potentially tripping you up or pulling on the headset when you've taken time to get a perfect fit. While mainstream wireless VR systems are seemingly somewhere around the corner, some PC manufacturers have taken it upon themselves to create the next best thing: VR backpacks. The cable running from your PC to your headset is no longer a problem, and immersion is taken one step further. Unfortunately, these backpacks are usually prohibitively expensive, and, besides, you might already have the hardware needed to create your own. Is it possible? Is it worth the time? Let's find out! Pre-built backpack options Before we get into building our own backpack, let's take a look at some pre-built offerings from HP, ZOTAC, and MSI. HP OMEN X For  about $3,000 , you can grab this sleek, compact PC with an Intel Core i7-7820HK quad-core processor (CPU), an NVIDIA GTX 10...
